Was Kurt Cobain Left Handed or Right Handed

The million dollar question is was Kurt Cobain left handed? We are most definitely Nirvana and Kurt Cobain fans and we love the music. But, no, Kurt Cobain was not totally left handed, in spite of millions of people who swear he was. However, we think he was ambidextrous. He reportedly told Guitar Magazine in 1992 and we quote:

"Speaking of guitars, you seem to favor low-end models.

I don’t favor them—I can afford them. [laughs] I’m left-handed, and it’s not very easy to find reasonably priced, high-quality left-handed guitars. But out of all the guitars in the whole world, the Fender Mustang is my favorite. I’ve only owned two of them."

Kurt Cobain mostly played with his left hand. He occasionally played with his right hand and he wrote with his right hand. So, since Cobain was able to use both hands well, our verdict is that he was an ambidextrous left handed guitarist. Here are some photos showing Kurt Cobain writing with his right hand.
