I get a lot of questions about celebrity left handers. Who's left handed and who's not. Blessed that I am, I've become the unofficial celebrity lefty confirmation spot. The question that comes up a lot is "Is Elton John left handed?" No, Elton John is not left handed.  He's a righty.

It's totally understandable why people think he's left handed.  Sometimes people are just too cool, original and unique to be anything but apart of the minority.

Sir Elton John is a legend and it's an honor to be able to answer this question for his fans.  Per Rolling Stone, the icon has announced his retirement from touring.  I for one, am going to miss seeing him perform.  But, his reasoning is very understandable.  This is what he told Rolling Stone:

“I’m not going to be touring anymore,” he told moderator Anderson Cooper at New York’s Gotham Hall. “I’m not going to be touring and traveling the world. My priorities have changed. I have young children.” Before he finishes, however, he will spend three years on the road saying goodbye to his fans with a 300-date tour he’s dubbed Farewell Yellow Brick Road. “That doesn’t mean I won’t still be creative,” he said. “But I won’t travel any more…I don’t want to go out with a whimper. I want to go out with a bang…It’ll be the most produced, fantastic show I’ve ever done.”

Who can question this? Family is the most important thing in the world. Him putting his husband and his kids first just warms my heart.  And time does fly when you have young children. We're going to miss him on the road, but I'm sure we'll see him on future award shows and at fabulous celebrity events.
